discover beautiful parks and landmarks within walking distance
I stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the spotlessly clean room and tasty breakfast, with the added bonus of being just less than a 15-minute walk to the serene Cockshott Point and Windermere Jetty Museum of Boats, perfect for a leisurely stroll and exploration of local attractions.

100% recommend for a brief retreat
Charming room, beautiful views, the breakfast was delightful with fresh ingredients such as salmon on toast and a delicious vegan grilled plate, making it a perfect start to our day before exploring the area with convenient access to hiking trails.
Don’t have any issues at all.

The Ullswater room felt dated with decor reminiscent of 1984. the wallpaper seemed out of place, and the bed length was inadequate for taller guests. Breakfast options could be more generous, as one piece of bacon and one sausage felt a bit sparse. a lack of fruit options on the second day might leave some wanting for more variety.

The decor felt charmingly old-fashioned, like stepping back in time. The light-filled lounges with cozy furniture were perfect for relaxation, while the well-kept gardens offered lovely paths for leisurely strolls, making everything accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
A wider breakfast selection would be appreciated.

Couples seeking a charming retreat
The service from the staff was great, they were friendly and attentive, made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. And the breakfast, wow, it was like a feast, with so many choices and the view just added to the experience.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but still acceptable for the quality provided.

The stay was truly delightful, highlighted by the welcoming staff and the excellent dining options, including a memorable Italian pasta dish. The room was spacious and clean, making for a comfortable retreat after exploring the surrounding fells. the service was a bit slower at times due to understaffing, and the lack of immediate attention in the lounge area was occasionally inconvenient. a wonderful experience that I would gladly revisit.
